MSc Bioinformatics, University of Bologna

I work on machine learning for proteins — protein language models, computational protein biology, and sequence–structure–function modelling. My recent work uses ESM-2 representations for sequence-function prediction, alongside HMMER/MMseqs2 workflows for protein domain annotation, built as reproducible machine-learning pipelines. I'm interested in learning-based methods for protein sequence, structure, function, and molecular interactions.

I am interested in PhD and research opportunities in protein machine learning, computational protein biology, and related areas.
